Day 80 Skinny Legs and Skinny Arms

Day 80 is in the books and I am at 1450 calories. I also got a little over 5 miles of walking today. I got my morning 3 miles in, then we walked 2 mile of trails as well. All in all a great day spent with friends and eating healthy as can be!

I have been primarily fixated on my belly in all this weight loss, but I couldn't help but notice that my legs and arms are really shrinking. Which made me remember something my best friend at the time's dad told me. When you lose weight, you generally lose it from the top down, bottom up and from the extremities in. I don't know how true that really is but he seems to have nailed it. So now that my legs are skinnier and my arms are skinnier, I guess that means from this point forward, the belly should be leaving me? I sure hope so!!

  1. Let me tell you, my stomach has been the last to go. First I lost my twins, to the disappointment of my husband. Next, my face, then arms, legs and butt! Now, finally, 89 pounds later, the stomach is finally going down.

  2. I kind of assumed it would be different for all of us, but maybe not? I've lost sooooooo much in my tummy, but I swear it's happening slower than everything else. Ha.

    Either way, it's coming off so I'll take it. :) And 5 miles? My goal this week is to seriously step up the exercise in a major way. Thanks for reminding me!

  4. I think my arms and legs must have been disproportionate to begin with, because I never really lost a lot from them. It feels good to see the fat leaving no matter where it is leaving from though.

  6. OH! I just realized I never told you the date. The 10K or half marathon jog, walk, or crawl date is December 5th!! If you're busy that day, you can always do it the day before or day after!

    I think guys lose weight differently than women. I lost weight in my face first, boobs next, then hips, then legs. But every body is different!

    I'm sure with all that walking your legs and thighs are getting thinner.

  8. Your doing a good job with all the miles you are getting in.

    When I started to lose weight it moved from everywhere but my belly....it's slowly starting to go down now (not fast enough for me though..lol)
