So today is day 1 of 1 again. Only this time, I am gonna get the steel look on after supper. That point in time, I will pray harder, and harden my heart to the snacks. Period.

An accounting of what I hope to be a successful and life changing journey which has me lose weight the right way and develop new habits and a new life style that does not glorify food.
Shane! Print a few pictures of yourself at your heaviest and put them on the fridge, pantry, etc...it will be a reminder!!
ReplyDeleteFeel your pain! Hot dogs are not too bad. That fridge calls my name from 6pm to 11pm. I have prevailed this week so far. There is half a strawberry cake with cream cheese icing and two quarts of homemade ice cream left from Mother's Day in there that is singing out for my heart. I am usually ok until around 8-9pm, because I am usually busy with some project. I have found my defense, so far. I either go to bed early or take an easy walk. Not enough of a work-out to keep me awake but just a stroll with the dog. Dogs are a fat man's best friend.
ReplyDeleteFirst of all, congrats to you Shane on your graduation! What a great accomplishment! You should be so proud of yourself!
ReplyDeleteWhile it's too bad that you celebrated your graduation by indulging in foodstuffs, it's also not the end of the world. It won't take you a month to take off one weekend of eating.
You just need to get back to the basics! So let's do that:
If you're hungry & feeling snackish, EAT!
Limit your carbs and sugars and instead load up on protein-rich foods and lots of veggies. It's summertime, so you should be able to snag fresh fish and good veggies at your local store!
Eat on small plates & measure out your portion sizes.
Pre-plan your meals each day if you can.
You can do this!!
