Oh Did That Suck!!

Pretty much from the word go yesterday, I was starving. I was eating the same foods I ate the two days before but man I was starving like ravenous all morning at work. I came home for lunch and folks, I ate everything! I can't even recall what all I ate. I righted the ship for the afternoon, but kinda fell off in the evening too. I was laying that floor and finishing it up and had a fruit by the foot snack. I suck

Today is back on track for me. No more failure days dang it!

  1. That's all you can do. Make a plan for the next time this happens because those ravenous days will happen again. If you will read my "Understanding Emotional Eating" post from a few days ago you may find some help. The author says go ahead and eat just determine what it will be. It does sound like you were truly hungry though. I would recommend just to stay away from the carbs as much as possible. Carbs make me want more carbs, more carbs, more carbs. I keep whole, raw almonds and dry roasted, unsalted peanuts on hand. There are some really good food bars as well. Google Quest Food Bars and those might be something to consider as well.

  3. You don't suck. Not entirely. Just live and learn. And don't do it again! :-)

  4. Make sure you're drinking your water. I drink a minimum of 100oz a day and that's in addition to any other fluids. Also, be careful of carbs. Don't forget to write it down, that always worked for you in the past. You can do this!

  5. Water is good, identifying triggers is helpful too, be they emotional states, physical states or simple food triggers. Bread can lead me astray pretty quickly as once I start, I can eat a lot of it.

  8. Here's a random funny for you.... When I went to leave that last comment a minute ago, blogspot made me type the letters in the box to verify I wasn't a spammer. You know how that goes. The random letters were "P-O-R-K-O". The irony is not lost on me..... ;) Made me giggle a bit.

  9. Hey Shane...don't beat yourself up, friend! It will accomplish absolutely nothing except to bring you down. Learn what you need to learn from this and move the heck on! You have proven yourself to be more than capable of doing this thing with His help so hold on to that.
